Dan Carter is going to be benefitted hugely after spending his twilight years with French Top 14 side Racing Metro with whom he has a three-year deal.
The 32 year old carter is to join the Paris based club at the end of the coming season and is believed to have a deal that is going to make him the world’s best played player. In Auckland Today, Dan couldn’t talk about his paycheck but it is already estimated that he is going to receive $2.9 million per season.
He said that he wants to play rugby for as long as he can and it might have been a bit challenging to play in New Zealand after 2015. He is among the first five and leads with the fact that he is an all-time point scorer having 1457 test points in total. He has been on the wish list of Racing Metro for some time now and instead of getting him, they chased after former Wallaby Matt Giteau who is playing for Toulon.
The chairman of Racing Metro Jacky Lorenzetti has been an admirer of Carter for a long time now and he said earlier this year that they were prepared to pay if coaches Laurent Travers and Laurent Labit were supportive of the move.
Dan was very interested in discussing his plans for the future and get rid of any distraction that may crop up before next year. Next year he, along with the All Blacks will try their best to defend the Cup for UK. He said that even though he has mixed feelings as of now, he believes that it is going to be very emotional as he has already announced that he is done playing rugby for New Zealand after 2015.
